Bhusa requirements for the divine gaushala of Babaji’s ashram at Vindhyachal are as under . Annual requirement of bhusa is around 11000 tonnes & we have suffecient storage space to stock it for entire year . If the bhusa rate remains at Rs 10/Kg , gaushala would need a budget of Rs 11 crores for entire year 2023 ( 3000 cows with average daily consumption of 10 kg per cow ) . Because of huge increase in rates of bhusa , the overall requirement has gone up by three times of normal budget . Considering bhusa consumption of 10 kg per cow per day & 3000 cows in gaushala at a rate of Rs 10 per kg , overall annual requirement comes to Rs 11 crores . Cost of bhusa for one cow comes to Rs 37000 per year . Adding cost of chuni / chokar / khali etc & labour cost / maintenance cost , overall requirement for one cow would be Rs 51000 .
Devotees & others are required to consider one , two or more cows as our divine mothers & if so , you have to serve them as you serve your biological mother . Overall yearly cost of feeding & serving one cow is Rs 51000 . If you resolve to serve two cows of Babaji gaushala as your divine mother every year , cost would be around Rs 1 lakh per year . If you wish to cover five cows , requirements for donations would be Rs 2.5 lakhs only . By way of advice , number of cows served may be equal to number of members in the immediate family of the devotees . Serve one cow each for each member of your family , as per level of your devotion & financial capacity .
Another criteria for arriving at the daan rashi & to firm up your decision to donate is to work out 10 percent of your annual income from all your sources . Normally dashansh or Vishnu Ansh (10 % of your income ) or even more must be contributed towards Gausewa as per directions of Bhagwan Krishna as contained in Gita & other scriptures of Sanatan Dharma . Babaji standing directions to all devotees or even other persons are to invariably serve mother cow on a regular basis for welfare of donor & his/her family .
