Lord Shiva in his dialogue with Goddess Parvatiji , known as Gurugita, forming a part of Skandpuran , has not only described glory of the Sadguru , but has also described at least 7 categories of Gurus, briefly described belowSuchak Guru – A guru who is well versed in letters & all worldly arts & sciences belonging to external physical world.Vachak Guru- one who describes duties of different Vernas , castes & Ashrams ( 4 phases of life- brahmcharya , grihasth , vanprasth , sanyas )Bodhaka Guru – who has capacity to initiate guru mantra to his disciples – he is better than the first two – suchak & vachak gurus Nishiddha Guru – who initiates his followers into lower type of vidyas like Mohana , Marak , vashya – These tantrik gurus are Prohibited category.Vihita Guru – a guru who leads his followers to vairagya by teaching that samsar is temporary & transition phase & the world is abode of miseries & calamities -escapes the wotld .Karanakhya Guru – who initiates disciples into Tatwamasi(you are that). He is a superior type of guru who can remove several problems of the mundane world .Param Guru or Supreme Guru or Sadguru -he is free from Moh Maya completely . Has become one with God .Has acquired atma gyan & sees Brahm in every being .is omniscient. Who is fully capable of guiding & protecting the destiny of individual souls across several births & bodies. Whose mere darshan generates goodness & divinity in the seeker & occasional visitors .In Kaliyug a large number of prohibited category of gurus or gurus without atmagyan , are being accepted by a large number of persons who wish to use guru as a staircase for achieving their worldly desires , leading to sorrow in the end , as these fellows cant even control their own destiny what to talk of others/ disciples . You get a Sadguru only with the blessings of Lord Krishna (binu Hari Kripa mile nahin Santa ). Brahmrishi Shri Devaraha Babaji & Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Babaji , have all the attributes of Sadguru/ Supreme Guru who are atmagyanis & have become one with the God. They lead not only individuals and families to peace & welfare , they quitely work for global peace & prosperity.
