Gopashtmi falls every year on ashtmi 8th day of Shukl Paksha of Kartik month . It is extremely important festival , as important as Krishna ashtmi & Radha ashtmi . The mother cow emerged on earth on this day & this was the day when Bhagwan Krishna took his cows for grazing . Desi cow of Bharatvarsh is soul of Bharat & is a very important factor for emergence of Akhand & Vishwavyapi Bharat . Unfortunately we as a country are totally ignorant about the significance of cow . However spiritual masters of the highest order like Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Babaji attach highest importance to cow & her service for human welfare in this & the other world . Babaji says that Gau is Gopal & Gopal is Gau. Service to cow is service to Bhagwan Krishna as there is no difference between Bhagwan Krishna & Gau Mata .
