It is extremely important festival , as important as Krishna ashtmi &amp; Radha ashtmi . The mother cow emerged on earth on this day &amp; this was the day when Bhagwan Krishna took his cows for grazing . Desi cow of Bharatvarsh is soul of Bharat &amp; is a very important factor for emergence of Akhand &amp; Vishwavyapi Bharat . Unfortunately we as a country are totally ignorant about the significance of cow . However spiritual masters of the highest order like Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Babaji attach highest importance to cow &amp; her service for human welfare in this &amp; the other world . Babaji says that Gau is Gopal &amp; Gopal is Gau.
